Lesslie strengthens its unique payment service and appoints the founder of Bokoredo as CPO

Bank challenger Lesslie Technologies AB today announces that they are enhancing their service, Lesslie PAY, by offering free express payments abroad. Furthermore, it has been announced that Peder Albert, the founder of Bokoredo, is taking on the role as the new Chief Product Officer (CPO).

Lesslie's flagship service, Lesslie PAY, has quickly become significant for many Swedish companies engaged in international trade. The company currently has a contracted customer base with a payment volume of over 5 billion. Now, Lesslie is the first to offer these customers free express payments. This means that one can make payments abroad without a fee and reach the recipient the same day - a service for which banks often charge 300-350 SEK.

"By now offering free express payments, we have created the best market service for international payments for Swedish entrepreneurs. Our platform is cheaper, automatic, and now also faster, making our offering truly unique. Entrepreneurs have become accustomed to international payments taking 2-5 days to process - we find this unacceptable and have therefore introduced an offer that is faster. This is a step in line with the company's strategy to eventually become a NEO-bank for companies trading internationally," says Gunnar Rytterling, CEO of Lesslie.

"My ambition is to change the game through Lesslie and set a new digital standard for how financial services are cost-effectively offered to the SME market,”

At the same time, the company is strengthening its product organization by appointing Peder Albert as CPO and including him in the company's board. Peder has a background from the Stockholm School of Economics and as a strategy consultant at BCG before he founded the accounting firm Bokoredo. Bokoredo is one of Sweden's most prominent accounting firms, which was among the first to use the PSD2 regulations and Open Banking APIs to digitize accounting and administration. Bokoredo was acquired in 2018 by Ludvig and Co, one of Sweden's largest accounting firms.

"After running an accounting firm for over a decade, I have seen an unmet need for efficient financial services among small and medium-sized enterprises. Our larger banks have often overlooked this segment. My ambition is to change the game through Lesslie and set a new digital standard for how financial services are cost-effectively offered to the SME market," says Peder Albert.
